Hunters
**We are currently not offering hunting at The Teal Lodge**
The Teal Lodge offers the region’s best waterfowl and upland game bird hunting.
The Teal Lodge is known for some of Colorado’s best waterfowl, dove and pheasant hunting in the heart of the “Golden Triangle,” located three miles north of the South Platte River in the flight path between Empire, Riverside and Jackson reservoirs.
Throughout the season, we see the migration of every species of waterfowl of the central flyway on over 1000 acres to explore.
As property owners and business operators, we have more than 20 years of experience managing this land. We strive for a one-of-a-kind bird hunting experience.
Our day and overnight hunting packages include secluded accommodations, bird hunting, and home-cooked meals.
Game Birds
Throughout the season, the property will see the migration of most of the duck species in the central flyway including: mallards, blue and green-wing teal, bufflehead, canvasback, redhead, wood duck, goldeneye, scaup, gadwall, wigeon, and pintails.
Our property is home to a healthy resident pheasant population, allowing hunters the thrill of hunting wild roosters in our shortgrass prairie and 100+ acres of cultivated cropland.
Hundreds of acres of native wildflowers and cottonwood trees provide perfect habitat for dove.
Goose hunting tends to be later in the season in our area. Hunting geese off the ice from duck blinds is a unique experience. Goose hunting is highly dependant on weather and migration, so opportunities vary from year to year.
